Nancy Pindrus has been interpreting faces for over twenty years. Her portrait subjects have ranged from authors and musicians to infants, actors, fashion models, and the family pet. Before her specialization in portraiture however, she apprenticed to Joe Morello, advertising studio photographer, who specialized in product work, jewelry and food.

Examples of her work have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the New York Times, Newsweek, and New York Magazine, as well as on cassettes, CD's, book jackets and record covers.

She has exhibited in the Saimagundi Club's juried competitions, the New York Public Library, and Alfred Lowenherz Gallery, New York City. Her portrait of the sculptor, Jose de Creeft, resides in the permanent collection of the Art Students League of New York.

She lives in New York City with Mr. Pooh, her African grey companion of thirty years and his companion, Mme. Zsu Zsu.
